Although none of Ana Ivanovic’s family members played tennis before, she has grown up as one of the world’s greatest tennis players. She had Minoca Seles as her idol before starting playing tennis and now she admires the World No 1 Roger Federer in and off court. As a player, her best shot is forehand and she can play on any surfaces. However, due to hard serve and her drastic hitting, they are all the benefits for her on hard courts.

Just like many athletes, she has superstitions which are bouncing the ball on the ground an equal number of times prior to each serve and avoiding stepping on any lines of the court. She sometimes plays backgammon or Sudoku during the preparation for matches in locker room. Her most memorable event in tennis are progressing to 2007 Roland Garros final and taking on the former World No 1 American tennis star Andre Agassi.

Her hobbies are watching movies (in particular thrillers), reading about history, shopping and listening to music (especially R&B and pop). She always drops by several great boutiques when she participates in the competitions in England, France and the U.S. The second seed also attends many concerts on a break of the tournaments, she has recently been in the Princess Diana Memorial Concert at the Wimbledon.

She describes herself as sensitive, strong-willed, greatly competitive and determined. As a professional athlete, she owns flawless skin and young and beauty look which makes her female tennis fellows envy of her special characteristics which are rare in many tennis players. She likes wearing jeans and other casual clothes when she is off court.
